Volvo expands access to the Tesla Supercharging service to make charging in public areas in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region even easier. The goal is to offer customers driving a fully electric Volvo a more simple and integrated experience, reducing the complexity related to finding and using fast charging infrastructure. In this way, the charging ecosystem grows and becomes even closer to the daily needs of drivers in a number of international markets.
Volvo accelerates in EV charging
Starting from the fourth quarter of 2026, those driving an electric car from the Swedish brand will be able to use the Volvo app to charge their car at the more than 20,000 Tesla Supercharger stations across Europe. Access will cover facilities in 29 European countries, with a particularly significant presence in key markets such as Germany, France, Norway, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy, and Spain. A choice aimed at ensuring continuity and reliability in the use of the network, making fast charging more immediate even when moving between different countries.

Volvo also plans to adapt some models to the North American Charging System (NACS) in the main markets of the Asia-Pacific region, with the intention of achieving this by 2029, particularly in Japan and South Korea. Thus, in the future, drivers of the Swedish brand in those countries will be able to access Tesla’s Supercharger network. In line with this strategy, the company emphasizes that today Volvo customers can already rely on a wide charging ecosystem through the Volvo Cars app, with an offering that includes more than 3 million charging points worldwide. It also reiterates its commitment to standardization and interoperability to make electric mobility more uniform and accessible.
