Vision BMW ALPINA, where refinement meets speed

At the Concorso di Eleganza Villa d’Este 2026, Vision BMW ALPINA presents itself as a design studio that opens a new era for a brand always linked to extreme capabilities, absolute refinement, and technical mastery capable of combining performance and comfort. The concept announces a future where emotion is not entrusted to mere impact, but to precision: the ability to make you “feel” the power without ever making it noisy or intrusive, maintaining an elegance built on proportions, details, and controls.

The design and structure tell the “shape of speed” with a wide and low presence, 5,200 mm long, designed to communicate confidence even when the car is stationary. The long, sloping coupe roof defines a dynamic yet solid silhouette. The line does not give up space, because the declared goal is to accommodate four adults in maximum comfort. At the heart is a V8, designed to evoke those typical Alpina exhaust sounds, rich and deep at low speed, always expressive when the revs rise. The front stands out with significant volumes and a forward-leaning posture. The “shark nose” reinterprets the style dear to the brand and transforms the double kidney grille into a three-dimensional sculpture that frames the emblem with calm confidence.

Elegant lines and interiors

From here comes a single visual trajectory: a characteristic six-degree inclined line that runs along the sides and wraps the rear, decisive enough to suggest movement, refined enough to remain elegant. The modern deco-lines recall Alpina’s language since 1974 and are distilled into engravings and painted strokes under a clear coat. The inner surfaces facing the cabin adopt dark metallic tones to reward a closer look. This idea is inspired by the BMW 507, where chrome appears discreetly. The shark nose also follows the same logic: some patterns are revealed only when active thanks to a hidden backlit perimeter.

Speed equals refinement

At the same time, the warm white LED lighting defines the kidney contours and lights up details with a clarity almost inspired by Alpine light, while the slim headlights enhance the contrast between precision and craftsmanship. The cabin, generous and architectural, maintains a layout where every component has its own identity. The line of speed continues inside as well, virtually dividing chromatic and luminous segments. Full-grain leather and stitching inspired by deco-lines find the right balance between tradition and technology, with metal finishes worked with techniques reminiscent of watchmaking and crystals used where the controls really matter. Even behind the rear console, the presence of a bottle and glasses in glass and crystal, engraved with deco-lines and controlled by a self-extending mechanism, closes the circle.
