Bezzecchi gains a point on Martin

The leadership of the world championship standings does not change after the Barcelona Sprint. Marco Bezzecchi remains in the lead, but only takes minimal advantage of Jorge Martin’s crash, collecting just one point with the ninth place finish. He is now +2 ahead of his teammate. A Saturday to forget for the Noale factory, held up only by Raul Fernandez’s fourth place who has now climbed to just one point behind his Trackhouse teammate Ai Ogura, eighth at the finish.

The victory at least partially revives Alex Marquez’s season, who with the 12 points gained overtakes his brother Marc in the standings – obviously absent today – and moves into seventh place. The battle for the role of third wheel behind the two Aprilia factory riders remains very interesting: today Pedro Acosta with second place at the finish has again overtaken Fabio Di Giannantonio, third. The KTM Shark has a one-point margin over the VR46 rider.
