Third row for Ferrari in the Qualifying of the Canadian GP. Lewis Hamilton got the fifth fastest time behind the Mercedes and McLarens, Charles Leclerc dropped from sixth to eighth place compared to the Sprint Qualifying, also behind the Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar.

The seven-time world champion was put under investigation for a potential impeding against Pierre Gasly during Q1, but no penalties were given to Lewis Hamilton.
“It was a very competitive session, especially in the final phase, with Lewis being second after the first attempts of Q3 – the words of Frederic Vasseur – unfortunately, he couldn’t put everything together in the last attempt. It’s a shame because the pace was there and we could have aimed for a better result. Now the focus shifts to tomorrow, when we might face a very different challenge. So far, we have never raced with these cars and the new tires in wet conditions, which means teams and drivers will have to learn very quickly, already in the laps to go to the grid. This could make the race very open.”
