Difficult weekend for the Monegasque

The Ferrari driver risked on several occasions ending the race prematurely against the barriers, especially when he lost the rear exiting the last chicane while warming up the tires during a neutralization.
The team principal of the Maranello Scuderia Frederic Vasseur, in fact, emphasized the positive aspects of a complicated weekend for the Monegasque: “Charles suffered, even in previous years he did not have much confidence on this track – said Vasseur to the microphones of Sky – it is already positive that he brought the car and the points home which are very important for the team. We expected a difficult weekend in Montreal, because several of our competitors brought updates while we did not, so this result is definitely encouraging.”

Ferrari, in fact, has significantly extended the gap over McLaren in the Constructors’ standings, the gap to Mercedes remains important.
