V8 Engines: a dream?
In recent months, FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem had proposed the idea of a possible **return of V8 engines to Formula 1** with sustainable fuels, an idea welcomed by many fans and, above all, by the drivers. According to the head of the International Federation, this return could broadly materialize in 2030, but obviously nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

Nothing impossible
Negotiations between the FIA and F1 are ongoing, and the President and CEO of the Circus, **Stefano Domenicali**, also seems genuinely optimistic about the possibility of seeing V8 engines again: “I believe it is quite concrete – he told De Telegraaf – the FIA president really wants it and we support him. Of course, all the details still need to be defined, but I believe that **we are all moving in the right direction**.”

Ben Sulayem’s project was favored by the introduction of the new technical regulations on power units in this championship, which were not particularly appreciated by the drivers. In this regard, Domenicali said he was ready to listen to their opinions to seriously consider their contribution: “**I always listen to the drivers**, they are our crown jewel – he added – I have always said it and will continue to say it. If we look at the current engines, we must not forget that these models come from the manufacturers. **Years ago, they wanted to go in this direction** and for us it was essentially take it or leave it. The world evolves, and so does sport.”
