In the year the Vespa turns eighty, Giorgio Sarti returns to tell the story of the most famous scooter in the world with a slimmer, more accessible, and visually rich volume. All Vespa. The book arrives at a symbolic moment. The Vespa patent was filed on April 23, 1946; in June 2026 Rome hosted “Vespa Roma 2026 – 80 Years of an Icon,” with tens of thousands of models parading between the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums. Sarti, a Milanese engineer and one of the most prolific Italian motorcycle authors, signs here the latest chapter of a long collaboration with Nada Editore dating back to 1993 and including the great volumes of 2006 (Vespa 60), the 70th and 75th anniversaries.
The main novelty lies in the structure. For the first time, production is divided into two “macro families”: the Vespini (small frame) and the Vesponi (large frame). Within each, every significant model has a dedicated sheet with history and essential technical data. It is not an exhaustive catalog of all variants ever produced — Sarti had already done that in Vespa. All models — but a selection of the most beautiful, representative, and in some cases, almost unknown pieces.
The volume, 256 pages in 16×21 cm format, is accompanied by over 400 images including vintage photographs, modern shots, and details. Alongside the model sheets, there are chapters on style (with the Vespa 946), on the future (the Electric Vespa), on racing and records, on cinema, and on versions produced abroad. The result is a book that is enjoyable to leaf through and easy to consult, at an affordable price (€24.90).

In the publisher’s foreword, it is recalled how the Vespa was born “protective, clean, comfortable, and reliable” and how, after more than twenty million units, it has nothing left to prove except the ability to stay young. Sarti, for his part, also invites the “uninitiated” to enter a world that the most knowledgeable Vespa enthusiasts describe with cryptic codes (VNA1T, VNB6T, VS1T…). The book aims to bring together both audiences.
It is a smart operation. After the great illustrated volumes and systematic catalogs, All Vespa offers an elegant and well-packaged entry point (or return). For those who already own the previous volumes, it is a visual and thematic complement; for those discovering now the scooter by Enrico Piaggio and Corradino D’Ascanio, it is a clear and passionate guide. In a year of global celebrations, Sarti and Nada have chosen the path of synthesis without giving up substance. The Vespa, once again, knows how to renew itself while remaining itself. VB
