Toyota, a new Digital Hub is born in Poland

Toyota has announced the opening of a new Digital Hub in Wrocław, Poland. The center will be dedicated to the development of software and technological services to support the connected ecosystem for Toyota and Lexus vehicles throughout Europe. The hub will employ about 200 specialists, focused on activities such as application development, cloud infrastructure design, and the creation of cybersecurity solutions. Specifically, the Japanese company’s goal is to make the digital experiences offered to customers more advanced and reliable.

New Toyota Digital Hub in Europe

At the heart of the project will be the team’s skills, which will work to enhance the MyToyota and LexusLink+ applications, tools used by over 2 million European customers to access remote vehicle functions, check battery status, and enjoy a range of connected services. In addition to software development activities, the specialists will also contribute to the evolution of the cloud infrastructure necessary to operate services and data on a continental scale, ensuring operational continuity and security.

About 200 specialists employed

The initiative strengthens Toyota’s presence in Poland and extends its technological development strategy in Europe. In particular, the investment in Wrocław is part of an already initiated path. Since 2015, the city has hosted the Shared Services Center, which operates as a reference point for accounting and tax consulting services at the European level. “Toyota has been present in Poland for 35 years and this project strengthens Toyota’s commitment to this market. Poland was chosen as the location for the Toyota Digital Hub thanks to a solid presence of highly qualified specialists and leading universities in technical subjects,” said Thierry Boitel, Vice President of Research & Development 4, Toyota Motor Europe.
