Mourning in Portugal
The racing world is shaken by sad news coming from Portugal. Former driver Zdenek Chovanek has died at 21 years old in Trofa, Portugal. Chovanek, born in Puerta La Cruz in Venezuela, after karting in 2020, participated in F4 UAE in the United Arab Emirates and Italian F4 with the Bhaitech team, achieving a fifth place in Imola as his best result.

F3 Appearances
In 2021, he raced in Euroformula with the Double R team, and his best placements always came at the Santerno circuit, two seventh places. At the end of the season, he then took part in the last 5 rounds of the F3 with the Charouz team, replacing Reshad De Gerus.
The Charouz team then put him back in the car the following year at Silverstone and the Red Bull Ring in place of Lirim Zendeli, and he was later replaced by Christian Mansell. Chovanek did not score points in F3. In 2023, he had two fleeting appearances in the world of covered-wheel racing in the GT World Challenge (but did not then participate in the championship) and at Estoril in the Ultimate Cup Series LMP3.

The Funeral Tomorrow
Today, the vigil was held at the Infinite Chapel of the Matosinhos Funeral Home. The funeral will take place on Thursday, July 23rd at 11:00 AM at the Farewell Chapel of the Matosinhos Funeral Home, followed by cremation at Municipal Cemetery No. 2 of Matosinhos – Sendim.
