Aprilia is dominating this start of the 2026 season with three wins in the first four races and the lead in all the world championship standings, but this does not mean that in Noale they are not already thinking about next year, the year of the technical revolution that will bring the introduction of 850cc bikes with reduced aerodynamics compared to what we have seen on track in recent years and with the new Pirelli tires.

As already announced by Massimo Rivola during the Spanish GP weekend, today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday) Aprilia has chosen the Jerez circuit as the venue for the debut of the 2027 bike. It is actually only a first prototype, which will then have to be further ‘refined’ in the coming months, but for now it represents the first response to the other manufacturers who in recent weeks have each started to test their 850cc bikes on track.

For this debut, it could only be the historic Aprilia test rider, Lorenzo Savadori, who was called to ride, and he took to the track despite annoying rain that hit the Andalusian circuit. This ‘first time’ was documented by Aprilia’s social channels, which released the first images of the new Noale rocket. And who knows if in 2027 one of these bikes will carry the #1 on the fairing.
