Marquez still in the pits

The injury in October in Indonesia left aftereffects that also showed up in the crashes at Jerez and the “Bugatti”, where he suffered a fracture to the fifth metatarsal of his right foot. An injury that forces him to that stop which perhaps his right arm – battered for six years – had been demanding for some time.
At Montmeló, Ducati will not replace the Spanish superstar. The line of the Borgo Panigale factory is to listen to the doctors. And it was precisely the talks with the doctors that highlighted to team manager Davide Tardozzi the extraordinary tenacity of the nine-time world champion.
Tardozzi’s words
“The surgery went well, now we have to wait for the next step together with the doctors, hoping that everything goes for the best. I think everyone knows he suffered a lot at the start of the season. Now, knowing what happened and knowing what the doctor told us, I think Marc has once again shown to be a superhero and an extraordinary rider. He did something incredible because, given his physical condition, I imagine that no one else would have been able to do what he did“, this is Tardozzi’s comment at Montmeló.
On recovery times Tardozzi did not commit, but if Marquez could not make it for Mugello he would be replaced: “I think for now it is impossible to say in how many days he will be able to return. Surely the regulations allowed us not to replace him for this race, since it is a back-to-back, but if for some reason Marc could not be at Mugello, we would replace him“.
