The positive trend of Stellantis in Italy is also confirmed at the end of the first quarter 2026. According to registration data for March processed by Dataforce, the Group led by CEO Antonio Filosa recorded double-digit growth for the third consecutive month, while the national market stopped at a single-digit expansion. In the first three months of the year, the brands marketed in Italy totaled 157.780 registrations, growing by 16,2% compared to the same period in 2025.

Stellantis grows in Italy
A performance clearly superior to the +9,4% of the market which closed the quarter at 485.932 registrations. Stellantis’ market share rose to 32,5%, an increase of 1,9 percentage points compared to the same period last year, consolidating the group and the Fiat brand at the top of the Italian passenger car sales rankings. At the level of individual models and channels, the Turin-based manufacturer maintained its leadership, especially in the private segment, with 61.556 registrations in the quarter and a share of 12,67% (up 2,1 points).
Pandina on top
The Panda “Pandina” confirmed itself as the national best seller with 37.054 units sold and a 7,6% market share in the period, while the Grande Panda continues its growth, placing third in the ranking of best-selling models. In the month of March, the group’s brands (including Leapmotor) reached 57.662 registrations, +10,3% compared to March 2025. Fiat led the month with 21.144 cars and an 11,4% share, also showing an excellent result in the private channel with 10,7% (10.304 registrations). The Pandina Hybrid, produced in Pomigliano, was the best-selling car in March with 11.128 registrations.

Leapmotor soars in sales
Of particular note is the performance of Leapmotor, which consolidated its position in the electric segment. The Chinese brand closed the quarter as the leading brand in the BEV market with 11.637 registrations, already exceeding the total volume of the entire year 2025 (7.500 units) in the first three months. In March, Leapmotor recorded 5.513 registrations, a jump of 2.827% compared to March 2025, reaching a Passenger Cars share of 3% (5,7% in the private channel) and placing fifth among all brands present in Italy. In the BEV market, the brand holds a share of 33,5% (44,6% in the private channel), ranking first in the Italian electric sector. At the same time, Fiat confirmed its strength in micromobility as well, with the Topolino dominating among light quadricycles. In March, the share among electric light quadricycles was 43%. Fiat Professional maintained its leadership in the commercial vehicle segment, with 4.863 registrations and a 27,6% share in March.
