Ai Ogura will leave Aprilia to join Yamaha, completing the new official team pairing together with Jorge Martin. The factory team of the Noale-based manufacturer will be entirely Italian with Francesco Bagnaia alongside Marco Bezzecchi.
Massimo Rivola commented to the microphones of Sky on Ogura’s choice: “On one hand, it’s a shame to lose a rider who has shown talent, Brivio was right, with him we are in good hands, I know he will make the right choice in selecting the replacement. I think he will make a decision within a race or two.”

Davide Brivio anticipated that he will not bet on a rookie and that he will prefer to rely on experience also because there are opportunities on the market not to be underestimated such as his former protégé Joan Mir: “I don’t think this is the right time to bet on a rookie – said Brivio – we believe that having experienced riders will allow us to make the most of the bike’s potential.”
