Antonelli, Norris, Piastri: a very young podium
Green line, or rather very green, in Formula 1. Leading the championship is Kimi Antonelli, a boy who is not yet 20 years old and has already set the record for the youngest ever leader. Also in Miami, the 2006-born put everyone in line, resisting the pressure from Lando Norris, while Oscar Piastri climbed onto the third step of the podium.

It is precisely the third place of the Australian, won at the expense of Charles Leclerc, that makes the Miami GP historic. In fact, it is a race with a very young top-3: an average of 23 years, 8 months, and 28 days; it is the second “greenest” podium ever, only 15 days “older” than the record set at the 2019 Brazilian GP. It is held by Max Verstappen, Pierre Gasly, and Carlos Sainz, then just over twenty years old.

Thanks to Antonelli’s breakthrough, this ranking is subject to further changes: already the Suzuka podium (composed of the Italian, Piastri, and Leclerc) ranks eighth, while the first place would also be at risk if – besides Kimi – another very young driver with a potentially top-3 car, such as Isack Hadjar, managed to get on the podium.
