All Yamahas in top 15
In the last seasonal weekend at Le Mans, Yamaha showed convincing progress with both official riders finishing in the points zone (Quartararo achieved his best result by finishing the race in 6th place), but not only that: for the first time, in fact, the two representatives of the customer team Pramac also reached the top 15.

Attention to grip
A goal that the Tuscan manufacturer will obviously try to achieve again this weekend at Montmelò for the Barcelona Grand Prix. Unlike Le Mans, Toprak Razgatlioglu has already raced several times on this track in his Superbike experience, where he also achieved two wins: “I really like this track, but it is always difficult to ride because the grip is usually very low – commented the Turkish rider – this will also be my first time here with a MotoGP and, from what we have understood so far, we still need to improve the bike’s handling a lot. We learned a lot at Le Mans and in Barcelona we want to use that experience and maybe try some different setups, because obviously Fabio’s setup worked much better than ours. I have great memories here thanks to my Superbike wins, so obviously I hope to start creating more great memories with Yamaha also in MotoGP. But I know it is a very demanding track because you have to carefully manage both the rear and front tires throughout the race. As always, I will give my best.”

The same difficulties were highlighted by Jack Miller, with the Australian still very motivated after the progress made between the tests in Jerez and the last weekend in France: “I can’t wait for the short break between races and to get back on track in Barcelona. There is still a lot of work to do both on the bike and on my part, but after the progress shown in Jerez and Le Mans we come here with a more positive feeling. The goal now is to continue to take advantage of this small momentum we have created in the last weekends and try to make a further step forward. Barcelona is always a demanding circuit, especially for tire management and long corners, so it will be another good test for us and for the development of the bike.”
