No top-10 for the Faenza team
Today in Shanghai was not a particularly positive Friday for Racing Bulls . The Faenza team indeed seemed to take a step back compared to what was seen in Australia during the first weekend of the season, confirming the worsening trend also shown by the group’s ‘older cousin’, the Red Bull team. In fact, neither Liam Lawson nor Arvid Lindblad were able to access the final phase of the Sprint qualifying, which decided the starting grid for tomorrow’s short race.
“I am quite satisfied with my lap – commented Lawson, author of the 13th fastest time and above all finally able to get ahead of his rookie teammate Lindblad – we took a good step forward from FP1 to qualifying thanks to the setup changes. Here we are struggling a bit more than in Melbourne, as that track suited us much better. We will have to work on it tonight“.

The comment from the English driver was less positive, as he had to settle for 15th position. “I am not particularly satisfied with today. In the Sprint qualifying I didn’t feel very comfortable because there was quite low grip during the session and I suffered from entry instability and understeer”, was Lindblad’s dry comment.
