Polestar closed the first quarter of 2026 with estimated retail sales of 13.126 vehicles, recording a growth of 7% compared to the same period in 2025, when 12.263 units were sold. The result represents the best first quarter in the company’s history, thanks also to a series of particularly positive performances in key markets such as Australia, Germany, Sweden, South Korea and the United Kingdom. Michael Lohscheller, CEO of Polestar, spoke of the numbers as a testament to the commitment of the teams and the strength of the brand’s positioning, achieved in an increasingly complex global context due to ongoing geopolitical developments.

The growth is also reflected in the expansion of the commercial network. At the end of the quarter, 230 points of sale were operational, an increase compared to the 154 at the end of Q1 2025, a 50% increase. This strategy of territorial capillarity was also mentioned by Elettra Benelli, Managing Director of Polestar Italy, who highlighted how the opening of new locations, including Bari and Udine, contributed to a strong customer response. In Italy, Q1 2026 marked a significant leap with 162 registrations, up 80% compared to the 90 in Q1 2025.
