The Frenchman, after two championships spent with Nissan, has in fact decided to leave the Japanese manufacturer, which he had joined previously in 2022/2023. It is not yet clear what the future holds for the French driver, who in his experience in the 100% electric category has won only once at the Berlin E-Prix 2020/2021 (his debut season), but the hypothesis is to continue in the WEC behind the wheel of the Cadillac, where he has also maintained his commitment this year: “I would like to sincerely thank all the members of the Nissan Formula E team, where I spent three fantastic years and we shared many great moments together – he said with these words – thanks to all the engineers, mechanics and everyone working behind the scenes for the hard work and support. Now I focus on a new chapter of my career. I really enjoyed Formula E, both on track and in the paddock, and I am happy to have been part of this championship. The future of Günther, this time in Formula E
The latest rumors, moreover, are focusing on Maximilian Günther. Although there is not yet an official confirmation, the now former DS Penske driver seems close to an agreement with the Envision team, currently without drivers after the retirement of Sébastien Buemi and the decision to leave the team announced by Joel Eriksson. Regarding the teams, DS has decided to leave Formula E, but it will be replaced by the new entry Opel.
