For the second time in his career, Pascal Wehrlein has been crowned Formula E world champion. After a fiery finale, with the London weekend seeing him take the lead in the overall standings and hold it steadily until the checkered flag, the German finished with a margin of just 5 points over Jake Dennis, and 9 over Mitch Evans. A year to remember for Porsche, which even before arriving in London had celebrated the Constructors’ title victory, with a gap of 98 over Jaguar. For the Stuttgart-based manufacturer, however, the opportunity for the ‘Treble’ did not materialize: precisely because of the results of Race 2, Jaguar won the Team World Championship, with +17 points over their direct rivals.
