MotoGP Barcelona, Mir penalized
The standings of the Barcelona GP undergo significant changes more than two hours after the checkered flag. Joan Mir loses the second place earned on track in Barcelona due to tire pressure being too low. The Spaniard, as usual, is given a 16-second penalty added to his race time.

The main beneficiaries are Fermin Aldeguer (from third to second), Francesco Bagnaia, who moves onto the podium, and Marco Bezzecchi, who becomes fourth. “Pecco” was also under scrutiny by the officials for tire pressure, but no official communication about his penalty has been made, and in fact in the official standings the Ducati rider is third.

Similarly to Mir, Raul Fernandez, Alex Rins, Jack Miller, and Toprak Razgatlioglu are penalized, who were already excluded from the top 10. In the new standings, Mir becomes 13th ahead of the Yamaha trio and Raul Fernandez. Jorge Martin remains unclassified and therefore does not score points.
