Most 2026, Race 2: Lecuona tries again, but Bulega wins again

Three podiums in ‘photocopy’

1st Bulega, 2nd Lecuona and 3rd Montella: this was the outcome of Race 2 at Most, but the Czech Republic Round could be summarized like this. Behind the world championship leader, in fact, Lecuona and Montella finished in the same positions also in Race 1 and in the Superpole Race, for a weekend once again dominated not only by #11, but also by the Borgo Panigale factory.

Race report

At the extinguishing of the red lights Bulega maintained the first position ahead of Lecuona, with the world championship leader staying ahead of his teammate for the first ten laps with a gap never exceeding half a second. Montella, meanwhile, defended his 3rd place, remaining alone ahead of Baldassarri and Surra, who in turn were involved in a nice duel for fourth position. A long battle that ended only in the final stages of the race, in this case due to the recovery of Garrett Gerloff; the American Kawasaki rider successfully completed the attack on Surra, thus spoiling a potential all-Ducati top 5. Additionally, a few laps from the checkered flag, Bulega increased the gap from Lecuona, thus dominating the entire Most weekend. For the Emilia rider, this is the 18th consecutive victory, and the official Ducati team completes its 11th consecutive hat-trick. A podium that, from Race 1 to 2, never changed: besides the 1st and 2nd places of Bulega and Lecuona, Montella always finished in third position, achieving his fourth consecutive podium, with the positive streak of results that started in Race 2 at Balaton Park (also in that case in 3rd place).
