The ‘revolutions’
In recent months, Australian circuits have come into the spotlight in the world of two wheels, starting with what will happen in MotoGP next year; for the first time in history, the MotoGP races will take place on a city track. Specifically, the championship will say its ‘farewell’ to Phillip Island to move to Adelaide, with the same historic track that will soon lose another international category.

From 2028, the Australian Round of the Superbike will take place at The Bend circuit, ending an era that lasted 35 years at Phillip Island (counting the upcoming season, when the last pre-season tests and the final race will take place), with some editions not held since 1990. This will start a new chapter for Superbike, which will move 100 km from Adelaide in the state of South Australia, although the main issue remains expanding its boundaries beyond Europe. In the next two years, barring further agreements, the Australian weekend remains the only extra-European event.
