Still on track
Three years after his last MotoGP race, Cal Crutchlow made his return last week at the Mugello circuit for the Italian Grand Prix riding the Honda of the LCR team. A return as exciting as it was difficult for the 40-year-old Englishman, who posted good times but was forced to retire from the race due to a muscle problem near his left shoulder blade caused by intense physical effort. Despite this, the Brit will still be present this weekend. Through an official team statement, Crutchlow will participate in the Hungarian Grand Prix at the Balaton Park circuit, never tackled during his career. The track, in fact, made its debut in the MotoGP World Championship only last season.

Zarco’s recovery
No luck for Johann Zarco, unable to return after the injury suffered in Barcelona, where his left leg was unfortunately trapped in Francesco Bagnaia’s Ducati. In the crash, the Frenchman suffered tears to the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments of the knee and the medial meniscus, as well as a small fracture to the fibula. In a post published on social media, Zarco confirmed that his recovery is going well, but explained the reasons why he has not yet undergone surgery: “It’s been two weeks since the terrible accident at Montmeló. I am taking care of my leg and it is improving quite quickly. I have to wait for the surgery because I have a deep burn under the knee and I can’t risk an infection during the operation. Thanks to everyone who writes to me and wishes me a speedy recovery. I’m lucky to have fantastic people around me, and we will do things smartly. By the way, whipped cream helps a lot sometimes”, he concluded with a joke.
