Nissan enters the Guinness World Records. And it does so thanks to the third-generation e‑POWER technology. A Qashqai model equipped with this solution actually won the Guinness World Records title for the longest journey ever made by a non-plug-in electrified SUV REEV. The crossover traveled 1,980 kilometers on a single 55-liter tank of gasoline in Colombia. The record follows the long-distance challenges successfully completed by Qashqai e‑POWER in the United Kingdom and Australia.

Nissan Qashqai e-POWER world record
The Japanese giant reports that the journey took place from July 14 to 17, 2026, as already mentioned in Colombia, specifically from Bogotá to the Caribbean coast. The electrified crossover had to face a wide variety of road, traffic, and driving conditions. Nissan ensured that every phase of the test was independently monitored and verified by Guinness World Records judges. They were the ones to certify the result at the end of a detailed review process.
Distance record on a single tank
“This record once again demonstrates the capabilities of the latest generation e‑POWER technology, capable of offering efficiency, refinement, and driving performance similar to that of an electric vehicle,” said Richard Candler, Nissan Corporate Executive (CE), Family, Product & Components Strategy. He then concluded: “The new e‑POWER was developed with the real driving needs of customers in mind. And it plays an important role in Nissan’s electrification journey, helping more people experience the benefits of electric driving, without changing their habits.”
