Ferrari, a painful Monza
After a decidedly disappointing Italian Grand Prix for Ferrari, both in terms of execution and driver management, some sources had explained that the work of Frederic Vasseur was under ‘observation’ by the presidency.
It was implied that the team principal was once again on the hot seat, despite the contract renewal announced in July 2025.

Vasseur does not comment on the rumors
To the notebooks of colleagues from Motorsport, team principal Frederic Vasseur explained that he does not want to spend time reasoning with the media on this topic: “There are some who say I will be fired this weekend or that I was fired last night. We have won two races and we can win more and we have clear ideas on how to make further progress and I focus my energy on this. Being under pressure is part of my job. It is not something I want to waste energy on.”

From the French manager also came an indirect response to the provocation by Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, who had spoken of the “solitude of Vasseur“.
“Given that it is not up to me to emphasize whether I have the support of the Presidency, the communication channel is constantly open in a constructive way“, said the Ferrari team principal confidently, adding: “Moreover, in almost every race weekend we have had with us a representation of the Maranello leadership, from John Elkann to Benedetto Vigna as well as Piero Ferrari. I believe it is really a nice signal for those who work in the team, on the track and in Maranello.”
