Max Verstappen returns to the Ring
Here we are: Max Verstappen is about to take to the track at the Nurburgring Nordschleife for the new – double – appointment on the NLS calendar, the German GT and touring car racing category that organizes various events throughout the year always and only on the legendary Green Hell. The four-time Formula 1 world champion takes to the track with the now “usual” Mercedes-AMG GT3 aiming for the overall victory, challenging a large group of professional drivers from covered-wheel endurance races, as well as true specialists who race almost exclusively at the Ring all year round.

The car, which the Dutchman shares with teammate Lucas Auer, is fielded by the Verstappen.com Racing team and races with the classic Red Bull colors, sporting a bright blue livery reminiscent of the Milton Keynes single-seaters competing in Formula 1. After hundreds of laps on the simulator, the champion is already making his fourth real appearance at the Nurburgring Nordschleife: in the autumn of 2025 he first raced with a Porsche Cayman GT4 to get his license, then won behind the wheel of the Ferrari 296 GT3; this year, at the end of March, he raced and won with the same Mercedes-AMG GT3 used today, only to be disqualified at the end of the event for an irregularity regarding the number of tire sets used during the weekend. Tomorrow, Sunday, April 19, Max Verstappen will do a repeat from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
