Maserati is not for sale, but it looks with interest at “targeted” technological collaborations. This emerged from the words of Santo Ficili, CEO of the Trident, at the inaugural conference “Global Trends, New Frontiers & Human Responsibility” held in Modena as part of the Motor Valley Fest 2026. During the speech, Ficili also recalled what was discussed in the previous days with investors, referring to the FastLane 2030 plan presented by Antonio Filosa, CEO of Stellantis. “Our CEO stated that the brand is not for sale, so we are going in that direction,” he reiterated.
Maserati is not for sale
Alongside the clear position on the ownership of the Trident, Ficili clarified the openness towards possible partnerships, especially on the technological front, with the aim of enhancing different skills. The idea, in fact, is to combine complementary excellences and offer customers the highest level of experience. In this sense, Maserati signals the willingness to move along innovation paths capable of strengthening quality, performance, and brand identity, without giving up strategic control of its industrial path.
Yes to technological partnerships
In his speech at Teatro Storchi, the theme of identity remained central. Ficili reiterated the unbreakable bond with Modena and the Emilia territory, describing Maserati as a true ambassador of Made in Italy worldwide. The company focus, it was emphasized, continues to aim at the transition towards innovation and sustainability, but also at enhancing luxury customization already realized in the Officine Fuoriserie program. The message is clear: no sale of the brand, but selective collaboration hoping to accelerate on what really matters for customers and product experience.
