Marc Marquez’s analysis at the end of the tests
Marc Marquez finished the test day in Jerez in fourth position, behind the Aprilia trio of Ai Ogura, Raul Fernandez, and Marco Bezzecchi.

Ducati brought several aerodynamic innovations to Andalusia, most notably a new fairing and changes in the swingarm area in an attempt to improve downforce, which is currently the aspect where the GP-26 is most lacking, especially compared to Aprilia. Marc Marquez commented on a very productive day that will be ‘completed’ by another test scheduled in three weeks after the Barcelona GP at the Montmelò circuit.

“A long day, with 80 laps, but fun – said Marc Marquez – we tried many aerodynamic configurations and I am happy with the steps forward, especially in some riding aspects. The balance is positive and we can take advantage of a further test in just under three weeks in Catalunya which will help us understand the potential of the new package. On a day like today, the track is very rubbered in after the race and the sensations, especially in the afternoon, all seem positive for grip. We analyze the data and understand how to introduce the innovations“.
