The return in FP1
Awaiting the Italian Grand Prix, Williams has announced the brief return of Luke Browning, a young British driver and member of the Grove team’s Academy who will take part in the FP1 sessions in Monza. For the 24-year-old, on track in the session open to rookies, it will be his second participation in this championship: previously, Browning had done the Austrian Grand Prix tests at the wheel of Carlos Sainz’s FW48, while in Monza this will happen with the car of Alex Albon.

Career results
The test at the ‘Temple of Speed’ will be the sixth in the career of Williams’ third driver in Formula 1, currently competing in the Japanese Super Formula category with Team Kondo Racing. In his resume, Browning boasts the title of British Formula 4 champion won in 2020, as well as the GB3 championship in 2022 and the victory at the Macau GP in 2023.

It is a great chance to accumulate valuable laps with the FW48, deepen my knowledge of the car, and help provide useful data and feedback to Grove. Every session teaches something new and I want to make the most of every opportunity to continue improving myself and the team. This weekend, the goal is to support Williams to maximize the result here in Monza.”
