A crisis-busting victory?
The success beautiful and unexpected at Silverstone has certainly revitalized Charles Leclerc, who more than anyone else needed a boost to turn around a decidedly unsatisfactory period.
The Monegasque driver is convinced he has found something on his Ferrari SF-26 that could also help him at Spa-Francorchamps: “I am quite confident I have found something or at least changed something in the approach to the car’s setup to feel more comfortable. And I think it could be positive for the rest of the season”, he emphasized in the interview with Canal+ on Belgium Thursday.
Leclerc is enthusiastic about Ferrari
Charles Leclerc did not fail to praise the great work done in these months at Maranello, between innovations and continuous updates to try to close the gap with Mercedes: “Honestly this year the team is pushing like never before. Fred is giving full trust to the team and the team is doing a really exceptional job, both in component design and their styling, with great speed. In any case, this had never happened before,” highlighted the Monte Carlo driver.
However, Leclerc does not have illusions and is aware that the road to reach Mercedes is anything but easy: “In a season like this, updates will be the key to winning the world title. Of course, Mercedes has a nice advantage, so it will be complicated for us to catch up. But so far we have done a very solid job.”
