Leclerc protagonist in Monte Carlo
On Thursday in Monte Carlo, all eyes are on Charles Leclerc, and not just because it’s his home GP, where he has often been among the protagonists. In preparation for this weekend, Ferrari has in fact decided to announce the contract renewal with #16, who is tied to the Prancing Horse until at least 2030.

As expected, in the press conference presenting his home race, the first question for Leclerc concerned the extension of his agreement with the Scuderia. And even in front of the journalists’ microphones, the Ferrari driver had sweet words for the team and the fans.
Leclerc’s words
“I didn’t have a deadline in mind for signing the renewal, for me everything was clear: I love the team and I think it’s evident externally“, this was his comment. “I have been with Ferrari as a whole for 10 years, they believed in me and helped me to be where I am today. I believe in the project and I strongly believe in Frederic Vasseur, we have an excellent relationship and I believe he is the person who can bring Ferrari back to the top. That’s why I am and will still be here“.

It’s no secret that other teams were interested in the Monegasque, including Aston Martin, which however started very poorly in the new technical cycle. The Ferrari driver doesn’t name names but confirms the sirens from abroad: “There were other options, but I won’t say who they were. For me, staying at Ferrari is the most natural thing“.
