Leapmotor shone a spotlight on the future during the Beijing Auto Show, with a press conference themed “A New Answer to the World – The Further Progress of Leapmotor”. The stage of the Chinese event also marked the world debut of the brand new Lafa5, globally named B05 Ultra, bringing the new generation of the B05 range into the spotlight.

Leapmotor aims high
Leapmotor’s strength in recent years is reflected in numbers that speak of a concrete growth phase: in 2025, the company delivered approximately 600,000 vehicles worldwide and achieved annual profitability for the first time. In the first quarter of 2026, however, global deliveries exceeded 110,000 units. Overseas exports also surpassed 40,000 units, marking a historical record and confirming the solidity of the product portfolio and expansion strategy. In this context, the launch of the B05 Ultra becomes the moment of maximum visibility: intended exclusively for the Chinese domestic market, it positions itself as a high-performance sports coupé, enhanced with factory-fitted aerodynamic kits, 0-100 km/h acceleration in approximately 5 seconds, 8-point PWM seat massage, as well as a configuration with dual Qualcomm 8650 + 8295 chipsets and assisted driving with advanced urban navigation.

Full range in Beijing
Looking beyond China’s borders, Leapmotor is pursuing a gradual European expansion, focusing on flagship versions, price competitiveness, and ease of launch. In this context, the B05 c-hatchback, its first sporty electric model, arrives in Europe. On April 23rd, orders were opened in the first European markets, including Italy, with prices starting from 26,900 euros. For Italian customers, a launch offer is also available which, with trade-in or scrapping, allows driving the B05 from as little as 22,900 euros. Finally, at the Beijing Auto Show, the brand’s stand hosted a complete range including B03X, the B and C series, as well as the flagship models D19 and D99.
