The career of Jacques Villeneuve in the world of motorsport does not know a definitive stop, and the umpteenth confirmation came from the recent official announcement of the Porsche Supercup championship: starting from this season, and more precisely from the first race scheduled in Monte Carlo at the beginning of June, the Williams ambassador will participate in the one-make championship supporting the Formula 1 weekends.

The career
Winner of the Indianapolis 500 and the CART championship in 1995, as well as the F1 world title two years later, the 55-year-old Canadian had taken part in other competitions after his retirement from the Circus: from 2nd place in the 2008 24 Hours of Le Mans to the latest appearances on track in the WEC dating back to 2023, not forgetting other appearances in championships such as NASCAR, rallycross and Formula E. Now, three years after his last races, Villeneuve will return to compete behind the wheel of the Porsche 911, with the car’s livery bearing the colors of his famous helmet. The championship includes eight races on the calendar, from Monte Carlo to Monza.
