The Maniac won at Mugello with the Harley
Andrea Iannone returned to the track at Mugello in the Bagger Cup – the Harley-Davidson branded support championship – winning Race-2. The Maniac in Race-1 was penalized for not respecting a yellow flag, then made up for it in Race-2.

Iannone was pleasantly surprised by the potential of the Harley-Davidson Bagger: “I really missed racing, I am very happy, I didn’t know anything about this world and in the end I found a fun bike, agile contrary to what it might seem and the bike has a very high speed in the middle of the curve. I hoped to win Race-1 as well, I could have done it, but I really didn’t see the yellow flag” Iannone’s account to the microphones of Sky.
Looking ahead to 2027 Iannone is very curious to see how the pair in Ducati Acosta-Marquez will do, the two are fighting fiercely on every occasion that comes up: “Acosta in my opinion is really very strong – he added – I’m curious to see him with a Ducati even though 2027 is a big unknown, it’s not known who will start better. If Ducati confirms this level or recovers what it lacks compared to Aprilia it will be a close fight.”
