The Scuderia, as reported by the British Sky Sports UK, will replace the suspension, the floor, the rear wing, and the gearbox. The latter might not be damaged, but the Scuderia wants to avoid any risk. The team is confident about Hamilton’s presence in Qualifying. This is the current status of Hamilton’s car 25 minutes before the start of Qualifying: as shown in the photo by our correspondent Carlo Platella, the rear end and the rear wing are mounted.

The Ferrari driver’s crash, in terms of dynamics and position, is identical to Pierre Gasly‘s in FP2. Hamilton loses the rear just as he prepares for turn 14 and after a pendulum effect he violently hits with the right rear. #44 tries to return to the pits, but – on the team’s instructions – turns off the SF-26 engine to avoid further damage to the car.
From the data collected by our Federico Albano, Hamilton enters Fagnes more aggressively (2 km/h faster than the previous lap) and loses the rear being at the limit.
