GP Canada 2026, free-to-air programming on TV8: Sprint and Qualifying live

The Sprint debuts in Montreal

F1 completes the first trip to the Americas with the Canadian GP. At the Montreal circuit for the third time this season the format will be the Sprint with drivers battling for points already on Saturday.

The third Sprint weekend of the six scheduled in 2026 means that Saturday will be entirely live on free-to-air TV on TV8. At 16:15 the long F1 ‘marathon’ will start with the replay of the Sprint Qualifying, then at 18:00 the Sprint will be live as well as the Qualifying starting at 22:00.

On Sunday, instead, the Race will be broadcast in delayed with a start at 23:30. Below is the summary of the free-to-air programming on TV8 of the Canadian GP.
