F1 Spa, the GP report
In 2025 Kimi Antonelli was crying heavily in the Spa paddock. Everything was going wrong for the Bolognese, who struggled to handle the media pressure in his F1 debut, resulting in a very negative European season. One year later, the world has changed for a young man who achieved the sporting miracle of bringing the tricolor back to the center of F1: it is precisely in Belgium that he achieves his sixth win of the season, a triumph that guarantees him to enter the summer break as the World Championship leader with a +45 over Lewis Hamilton.

Masterful victory by Antonelli, very clear-headed in every phase: first of all after turn 1, when he remains composed in front of Max Verstappen‘s overtake, who is immediately overtaken back because he has no more battery at the end of the Kemmel; then, above all, when thanks to a Virtual Safety Car Charles Leclerc gets ahead of him. The #12 turns a management race into an attack one, like at Silverstone, and makes the decisive move ten laps from the end. The Ferrari driver tries to stay close to Antonelli but never really has a chance to regain first place: this time Kimi rejoices, reaching six wins in F1, just one less than George Russell. The British driver leaves Spa with morale crushed: after being destroyed in qualifying by the Bolognese, the #63 seals his horror weekend with a contact with Lewis Hamilton at Les Combes that knocks him out on the first lap.
