Russell leaves Spa without points
The Belgian F1 GP started immediately with a twist and a heavy retirement. George Russell, in fact, is already out of the race due to a contact with Lewis Hamilton.

The two compatriots found themselves side by side at the braking of the Les Combes esses at the end of the Kemmel straight. Russell was on the outside, Hamilton on the inside, the contact was between Russell’s right rear wheel and Hamilton’s left front wheel.
Russell spun around and then into the gravel, retirement inevitable. Hamilton suffered some damage and is under investigation for what happened.

Via radio the Ferrari driver pointed out that having a car in front of him disturbed the aerodynamics and he could not avoid the contact because he had no steering control.
