Fornaroli, another TPC with McLaren
Leonardo Fornaroli adds further experience behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car to his repertoire. The reigning F2 champion indeed completed a second test with old cars yesterday, April 7, driving the 2023 McLaren MCL60 at the Silverstone circuit.

The papaya team took advantage of the forced one-month break in the Formula 1 calendar to carry out its TPC testing program with its reserve driver. For the Piacenza native, it was his second experience at the wheel of a Formula 1 car, after the one already experienced in the March tests at Montmeló.
Fornaroli completed 68 laps on the iconic British track, covering a total of 393 kilometers. The session went smoothly and was useful work to accumulate experience and continue the growth path that, in the hopes of the 2004-born driver, could lead him to an F1 seat in 2027.

At the end of the session, the 21-year-old expressed great satisfaction: “Silverstone is one of my favorite circuits, I thank the team for letting me run again in an F1 car. I tried different setups, to continue to better understand Formula 1: I can’t wait to perform more tests during the year“.
