Ferrari continues to consolidate its leadership also in the field of industrial design. With the new SC40 it has obtained the highest recognition awarded by the Red Dot Award, winning the prestigious Red Dot: Best of the Best in the Product Design category. The value of this achievement is further strengthened by the awards collected by several range cars, including Amalfi, 849 Testarossa, 849 Testarossa Spider, 296 Speciale and 296 Speciale A, all awarded the Red Dot Award. Together, these recognitions outline a path of excellence that goes beyond the single model, reflecting creative consistency and attention to detail in deeply different projects.

Ferrari SC40 awarded for design
The Red Dot Award is one of the main design awards in the world and, on the occasion of the 72nd edition, the award ceremony will be held on July 7, 2026 in Essen, Germany. Ferrari, in recent years, has turned this event into a constant point of reference: in 12 years it has won 35 Red Dot Awards, an unmatched result compared to other car manufacturers since the award was born in 1955. Furthermore, since 2015, the jury has awarded the Maranello house with as many as 13 Red Dot: Best of the Best attributed to numerous models, including FXX-K, 488 GTB, J50, Portofino, Monza SP1, SF90 Stradale, Daytona SP3, Purosangue, Vision GT, Roma Spider, 12Cilindri and 12Cilindri Spider, F80 and the SC40 itself.
A constant point of reference
The scope of these results underlines the solidity of the work of the Ferrari Design Studio, directed by Flavio Manzoni, in balancing innovation, tradition and functional clarity even when products change language and use destination. The Best of the Best of the SC40, moreover, highlights the value of the Special Projects program, designed to transform the visions of a very small group of people into a One-Off through continuous dialogue with designers and aerodynamicists from Maranello. Today, the 1:1 scale style model of the car is exhibited at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello: a tangible reference for visitors, allowing them to directly observe how proportions and surfaces took shape before entering production, linking the initial design phase to the final One-Off.
