Porsche presented the Cayenne Electric last November. The range of versions of the German manufacturer’s 100% electric SUV will soon be enriched with a new crossover coupé version. Recently, an example of this kind of top-of-the-range variant, called Cayenne Coupé Turbo GT Electric, was caught during testing. The images released by Carscoops confirm that the new model takes up many stylistic elements of the Cayenne Turbo Electric, maintaining a recognizable front with thin Matrix Design headlights and an active lower air intake.

The profile of the prototype, on the other hand, reveals its coupé nature. A more streamlined windshield flows into a steeply inclined roof, with a reduced upper section that accentuates the sporty stance. There are no shortage of details typical of high-performance models, such as plastic trim along the bodywork and five-spoke wheels that hint at an enlarged braking system, equipped with ventilated discs and imposing calipers. The rear shows an angular rear window and a vertical tailgate similar to the standard coupé version, while the Performance variant stands out for the addition of a fixed rear spoiler. The lower bumper finally recalls the styling of the standard Cayenne Turbo Electric.

New top-of-the-range version
Inside, it is unlikely that the Coupé Turbo GT Electric will differ significantly from the standard Cayenne Electric. Among other things, therefore, a 14.25″ digital instrument cluster is expected along with a curved OLED infotainment system, an optional 14.9″ front passenger display, a Head-Up display with augmented reality, ambient lighting and a heating system that includes seats, armrests and door panels. Under the hood, the Cayenne Turbo Electric mounts a 113 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel drive, which exceeds 1,100 hp and 1,498 Nm with Launch Control active, allowing 0-100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and 261 km/h top speed. It would not be a surprise to see these specifications increased in the Coupè GT.
