There was no shortage of twists and turns in the fourth round of the 2026 season, from the first stage to the Power Stage. Between driver errors and misfortunes due to punctures, the winner was Takamoto Katsuta, who even on Day 2 had been forced to slow down due to a puncture. When everything seemed settled for 2nd place behind Neuville, the Belgian’s incredible error in the Power Stage effectively guaranteed success for the Japanese Toyota driver. A victory, the second consecutive after the one obtained in Kenya, which allows him to climb to the top of the world standings with a total of 81 points, +7 over Elfyn Evans. Toyota dominates the Drivers’ standings with four in the top four positions, as well as in the Teams’ standings, with the Japanese manufacturer leading and the only one above 200 points.
