Lost points
The Sprint race of Fabio Di Giannantonio at Aragon ended after just two laps. The VR46 team rider crashed in the early stages of the race, thus taking his fourth zero of the season on Saturday. A hard blow in the championship perspective, since all the direct rivals of the Roman rider – obviously except for the injured Ogura – have moved the standings. Now Diggia is still fifth in the standings but with 46 points to recover on the first position of Jorge Martin.

“Today the start of the Sprint was good, but unfortunately I didn’t have a great feeling – admitted Di Giannantonio, who struggled especially with the rear of his Ducati – when I got to the braking I was too far off the ideal line, I lost the front and slid out. Fortunately I’m fine, but it was a shame”.

“We will definitely now work to fix some things on the bike ahead of tomorrow’s race – the VR46 rider added – but we saw that the Ducati is very fast here, so this is positive. For tomorrow, the goal is to be as close as possible to the riders ahead and aim to be in the top-5“.
