Sandero Streetway “expands the democratization of full hybrid technology.” With these words, Dacia announces the debut on the price list of the new Hybrid 155 engine, offered starting from 19,900 euros. The Romanian manufacturer talks about a strategy that makes hybridization even more accessible in the B segment, “a new step in the electrification path of its range that confirms a clear philosophy: to make useful and concrete technologies available to as many customers as possible”.

Dacia Sandero Hybrid 155
Specifically, the Hybrid 155 system combines a 1.8 four-cylinder 109 HP gasoline engine with two electric motors, a 1.4 kWh battery, and an electrified multimode automatic transmission. Dacia states that the architecture has been designed to maximize energy efficiency and driving comfort. The start always happens in electric mode. Thanks to energy recovery during braking and deceleration, the system also automatically manages the different propulsion sources depending on the usage conditions.
Prices under 20,000 euros
In urban traffic, promises the Romanian manufacturer, it is possible to travel up to 80% of the time in electric mode, helping to reduce consumption, emissions, and noise. Speaking of consumption: estimates are 4.2 l/100 km, with CO2 emissions starting from 96 g/km. In short, if the numbers don’t lie, compared to an equivalent gasoline engine, the full hybrid system can allow a reduction in consumption of up to 40%. As mentioned, in the Expression trim the price list starts at 19,900 euros, rising to 20,900 euros for the Journey trim.
