At Trackhouse they are really getting into it. After the double double at Assen, the American team confirmed its excellent trend also in Germany by bringing home another double podium in Sunday’s GP. Behind Marc Marquez – unbeatable at the Sachsenring – were Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez; for the Japanese rider, this was the third consecutive podium, for the Spaniard the third top-3 finish of the season in a GP. Moreover, both are continuing to climb the positions in the world championship standings: Fernandez is sixth, 49 points behind Jorge Martin, Ogura is even second in the World Championship just 14 points behind the 2024 world champion.
Putting out the fire
Speaking to the microphones of Sky Sport MotoGP, however, Davide Brivio, who knows a lot about world titles won among all those won as a manager with Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, and Joan Mir, tried to put out the fire. According to the Trackhouse team principal – who will join Honda next year – it is still too early to realistically think about the championship. “If we look at the standings, yes, it makes you think like that – Brivio acknowledged – but well, we know there is a Marquez making a great comeback, there is a Marco [Bezzecchi] who will recover anyway, and it’s still a long way to go.”

The collaboration with Aprilia
“The nice thing though – Brivio continued – is that thanks to Aprilia, which has done a great job, and the guys from Noale who helped us a lot, we always arrive on track with the potential to have great races. Then it depends on how the weekend develops, but the potential is always there. I also told the guys on our team before this weekend ‘we keep Assen in our hearts, but here we start working and see what happens’. But we can do the same at Silverstone”. Always without looking at the standings which, for now, are increasingly tempting.
