What a Sunday for Bezzecchi
Marco Bezzecchi after winning the first three GPs of the season had missed the top step of the podium in the last three occasions. Today instead at Mugello he dominated after letting Francesco Bagnaia vent for half the race.

“Winning here is a dream I had since I was a child when my parents used to bring me here to cheer – Bezzecchi said to the microphones of Sky opening the album of memories – winning here is something I couldn’t even imagine what it was like, in fact it exceeded all expectations because it is a truly incredible emotion.”
“At the start of the race when Bagnaia passed me he was going fast and I had already warmed everything up so I detached a bit to let the tires and the bike breathe. When I saw Martin was coming at 0.7 I passed him at San Donato to see if I had enough to escape and I managed to extend”, Bezzecchi added.

The Aprilia rider was thus able to honor Alex Zanardi to the fullest, to whom he dedicated the helmet: “This is the thing that makes me happiest, because unfortunately I never had the luck to meet him, I always admired him from afar as I believe most of you did, and his story has always been an absurd and incredible story. After the incident I saw the tribute that F1 made to him and I told myself that I too should do something because I am in a position that rocks and I can convey an important message to everyone.”
