The 2026 World Championship has seen so far a single protagonist who answers to the name of Nicolò Bulega. The Ducati – Aruba.it team rider has in fact won all the first six races of the calendar between the Rounds of Phillip Island and Portimão, maintaining his unbeaten streak also in the Superpole. For the 26-year-old, the mission will be to repeat himself this weekend on the Dutch circuit of Assen, with the goal not only to defend his leadership in the standings but also to forget what happened last year in the ‘Cathedral of speed’, when he was forced to retire in the Superpole Race and Race 2 due to technical problems despite the victory in Race 1. A double KO that allowed Toprak Razgatlioglu to win the Superpole Race, but above all Andrea Locatelli to win Race 2, in what still today represents the first and only victory of the Bergamo rider in Superbike.

No particular news expected for this weekend, except for the second consecutive presence on track of Jonathan Rea. The six-time world champion has been called again by the Honda HRC team to replace Jake Dixon, who has not yet recovered from the injury suffered at Phillip Island and is expected to return in Hungary. All sessions of the weekend will be broadcast live on Sky Sport MotoGP and streaming on NOW, with race 1 and race 2 free-to-air on TV8. The same channel will also offer the Superpole Race, but in this case delayed shortly before the race.
