A rare talent
At just 19 years old and after only 29 Grand Prix races in F1, Andrea Kimi Antonelli is the world leader and has achieved a fantastic streak of 4 consecutive wins. The spotlight of the motorsport world and beyond has turned to the young Italian driver, who at the start of this championship has shown speed, tactical skill, and also the right amount of aggressiveness. Antonelli and Ferrari
We had already told in the past what happened in 2017 when Andrea Kimi Antonelli was close to joining Ferrari, but then team principal Maurizio Arrivabene rejected the Italian driver who at the time was 10-11 years old.
At the press conference following the Bandini Trophy award, Antonelli was asked a question about a possible future at Maranello, as reported by colleagues from Bologna Today: “In the end Ferrari is a huge team and has an amazing following and is a brand that will remain in history forever. So you never know, but I am very happy at Mercedes and my goal is to win a lot with Mercedes, because they gave me a chance when I was young and have supported me on this journey so far. I also feel indebted to Mercedes and so I first of all feel the duty to do my best with them and then we will see.”
And among Antonelli’s skills, there is undoubtedly his communication ability; the Bolognese has perfectly learned how not to stumble into traps and to keep all doors open.
