Acosta: “Bastianini's data was fundamental, I'm lacking top speed”

The Spanish rider explained that Bastianini‘s data was fundamental in allowing him to have a significantly better KTM compared to the one with which he lost the Sprint podium due to irregular tire pressure.

“We studied Bastianini’s data and adopted some things he had used in the Sprint race and this helped me a lot to save some tire – Acosta explained to Skywe must be satisfied. We still lack a bit of top speed, but KTM has worked hard to cool and not consume the rear tire too much and the results are visible. The bike is now calmer, it doesn’t move as much and it’s easier to ride.”

If Bastianini were to confirm himself at these levels, he wouldn’t leave Acosta alone against the Aprilias and Ducatis: “I am happy to see a Bastianini like this for him and for KTM. Having valuable data is very important for growing during the weekend; in Brazil, for example, I didn’t have good points of comparison and I struggled to improve my performance.”
