These are numbers that MotoGP was no longer used to seeing: in the modern era of the World Championship, at least five successes in a row had only been achieved by Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi, the two most legendary names of the last 25 years of this sport. The Spaniard had made streaks at least as long in 2014, 2019 and 2025, the Doctor in 2002, 2005 and 2008.
It had been 12 years, specifically since 2014, since a rider had won the first three races of the year: back then Marc Marquez’s streak reached 10; it’s hard to say if Bezzecchi will be able to do the same, but certainly at this moment everything that #72 and his RS-GP 26 touch turns to gold.
